St Kitts and Nevis is a great island destination for a couple. It’s definitely not an adventure island, but good for two people who want nice beaches, hiking but aren’t looking for much nightlife.
We stayed in Nevis as opposed to St. Kitts. It is a short ferry ride away from St. Kitts, and it is a much quieter island. Most of the tourists are on St. Kitts at the Marriott beach resort, which is quite expensive, and honestly not much better than a resort on any other island, or even Florida. If you want a great resort on the beach where you can ignore the local life, go to Atlantis in the Bahamas.
St. Kitts ( Spent 3 days, should have done 2)
This is where the Marriott is, the airport, the port, and the main city. The city is a bit boring but safe. The Marriott is nice, but again, nothing special, and the things unique to St. Kitts (such as a train that goes to the north of the island and a fort) are really not too exciting. The beach on the southern part of the island, Cockleshell bay, is quite nice, and has a good environment of people, but pricey to get to. If you want peace and quiet go to Nevis, if you want want nightlife there is, stay in St. Kitts.

View coming into the country

Go to St. Kitss and Nevis if you find a good deal on flights, and if you’re with your family stay on St. Kitts and ferry to Nevis, if you are with a significant other go to Nevis and stay there. If you are by yourself, I wouldn’t go at all, as I think there are other, more fun, places to go.
Country level of difficulty – 2/10
